G. Gould Club!

Sorry I'm not too talkative; I hate talking like a know-it-all. Yes, I'm very busy, but I do want to help, as there seems to be nobody else that can answer questions about my basses, and the old Modulus basses too. As far as the EMG BMT controls, some people have trouble with it because you can get bad sounds out of it with the wrong midrange settings. The simple BT is easier to deal with.

Ok if you thinks it´s difficult to find a G.Gould there, imagine here in Spain. About a month ago I could get one (the preamp was changed and it´s an Aguilar) and this is the first bass I can try and am liking more than my other one (a ´91 Modulus Q4, neither so common here). Some pics:

FELICIDADES!!! Nice looking bass!!!

Just purchased a G. Gould bass this week from The Bass Place in AZ. Should arive Friday and will look nice on the wall with my Modulus Funk Stealth (when not being played). Will post pics once its here as it's a sweet gloss white with a touch of lime to it in the right light :)

How do I join this club?

I was searching the web for the fun of it and I found a bass called Geoff Gould. Then I found out he started Modulus... Then I saw he is HERE on TB and on this thread !! How cool is that !!

Since my Bquad is a killer bass, I figure the Gould's are sweet , too.

Anyway, some super sweet nicely priced ($2,500 range) basses on Ebay NOW !!!Just FYI. Very cool.

I'm curious as to how you guys like them. I am a Cirrus guy, and personally don't like Modulus neck profile, but the Bquad neck profile by Modulus is to die for.

nowadays, they have all these plug-in quick connectors. Do you still want two volumes, or a volume and a balance control? I can probably find some sort of diagrams. The nice thing about the 40 shape is that you can quickly switch pickups with no routing or soldering.

Thanks, they kind of do something similar but I find the Alembic filter more useful for gigging than the EMG mid-range sweep on my G.Gould, which I rarely touch, and was hoping EMG had some new pre-amp options I wasn't aware of.

I don't use the onboard eq on any of my basses often but find the filter on the Alembic circuits very useful for slightly altering the tone to cut through if the sound onstage gets muddy... particularly when a guitarist plays with a thick distorted sound.
