G&L 2500 Electronics

Hello,

Not sure if I have the right forum for this question.

I recently purchased a used G&L 2500. It did not come with a manual so I am a little confused on the switches and controls. I tried the G&L site but could not find anything. And searching the net did not give me what I am looking for. Does anyone have info on the controls for this model..Thanks Much.

Switches, from neck to bridge:
Pickup selector
Series/Parallel
Passive/Active/Active w/ Treble Boost

Knobs, from neck to bridge:
Volume
Bass
Treble

I might have gotten the treble and bass reversed, but that's the gist of it.

Keep in mind that both the bass and treble knobs are passive cut only.

What exactly does this mean?

It means that you can't use the tone controls to boost any frequencies. You can only turn bass or treble down, not up.

The preamp boosts the entire signal and is not tied to the tone circuit.

Another nice feature is if your battery dies switch to passive mode and you are back in business
