Anyway, so last night was my second time with the bass in a band setting, first time with rounds on there... ... ... AMAZING! the other guys in the band couldnt stop talking about how incredible I sounded. "You're not at all too loud, but I can hear you so clearly through everybody!" - That was my favorite comment! That's what I've been searching for since I was 14 years old and first picked up the bass (I'm 24 now)
I've been a G&L convert since I got my first L2500 in late 2009. I always love the tone in most settings, but where I found that it REALLY shines is in a dense, loud, rockin' band mix. Even more so in single-coil mode. Lines that tend to get lost a little with my other basses are totally clear with the L2500.
I still have/use other basses, but when I play with a dense, loud band, the L2500 is the way to go.
