I have a Lynx with the same pickup in the neck position. Those things can thump!

I fell in love with this L-1000 recently. I tried not to like it because I definitely did not need another bass but it sounds incredible!

Hey guys, I replaced a very good bassist last night in a local band. I was forwarned that the bassist I was replacing was very good and had an awesome tone. The band just loved his 6 string F bass and it was just the best around.

I used my L2000. After the soundcheck, the singer noted it sounded awesome, that it was the first time she could actually hear and feel the bottom. The guitarist was happy too.

In my head, I thought: "Thanks, Leo, where ever you are!". I love showing up on 'gigs for cash" situations knowing my sound will be appreciated, no matter what. It's not me, it's the bass.

the serial number on the bridge indicates 1981 ,
but there is a date of June 02 1982 on the neck ...

That's a chunk of time inbetween them; what's the date on the body?
Is there a date under the pickup?

Here is my revived L-2500. Original neck started to bow and the truss rod would not adjust. Steve Grom at G&L got me a new neck even though I was not the original owner (it's a 2008).

check under the pickup ...
maybe i'll check next time i change strings { probably next year ...}
