I call the G&L dealer in Green Bay today and talked to the tech. I want to have my 2500 K wired, but want to take the 3pos switch used for active and have it made to be a coil selector inside/outside /both. He sounded cranked about it and said I should call him tomorrow as he will look in to it!

Just was wondering about grabbing a club number.
Just bought my first G&L.
A 2006 special order SB-2 Fretless.
#6 neck, ebony board, matching HS, etc.
Great bass...Hope to add an L-2000 to the collection sometime.
Glad you bought that beauty I needed another bass like a hole in my head! (Chef quote "eye roll") Welcome to G&L world and yes a L-2000 should be in your future you can't beat em love both of mine I have many others but they really have a sound of their own!

Saw a few beautiful L-2000's on the bay. There is a beauty of a butterscotch one on their now $899...with the yellowed gun oil neck finish.
But Just blew too much as it is for the moment on this fretless.
Will be watching for the right L-2000 at the right price for sure

ooops the butterscotch G&L I mentioned seeing on ebay is not an L-2000 it is the ASAT Bass.

I used to dream of a trans-blue L5500 while mowing the lawn when I was in high school (about 16 years ago). I think the L5500 is one of the *only* basses with EMG's I'd ever consider. It's just cool. And how can you mess with cool?
Wow, 31 years! That's so cool that you hung on to that bass and keep playing it. Hopefully in 31 years I will still be playing some of my basses.

I'm an idiot, I've been playing bass for over 40 years, and have never held on to any of my basses. Even when I find a "keeper", seems that it eventually goes. Must be my OCD...
I bought it used here in Norway for a couple of years ago. Its MIA 1996. I have taken the pictures myself
I got this Tribby SB-2 from a TBer recently, and it was instant love. I've owned Tribby guitars before, but this was my first G&L bass, and I love this thing.
And this thing ignited my L2000 GAS very badly.
