I like the DA XL170's that are stock issue.
I like them on most basses, actually, though I keep Sadowsky Blue Steels on my Sadowskys.

Just bought my first G&L.
A 2006 special order SB-2 Fretless.
#6 neck, ebony board, matching HS, etc.
Great bass...Hope to add an L-2000 to the collection sometime.

It's ash. A really nice cut with the long straight grain.
