I bought my Kilo used online from a Guitar Center. The photos made it look like it was a transparent green, warm and nice. It ended up being a bold, bright, brash, solid Kelly green metallic, and I didn't care for it at all, though it played and sounded incredible. I finally spent the bucks to swap the black pickguard for an aged white pearl, and that made all the difference in the world. Now I like its appearance as much as everything else about it. Maybe try that.
Actually, the white is a replacement guard. The original was aged pearl. IMO, the white is a huge improvement.
