I've seen stranger mods. But the Interceptor headstock shape is pretty unique, and it would be quite a feat to get a different headstock that close. There's also the difficulty of matching a non-G&L neck to a G&L body.
Hard to know for sure, but lefty Interceptor neck on a Toro body seems likely, whether done by /\/phist0 or someone else.

I bought my very first Rickenbacker bass from him eons ago.
(And sold it back to him within a year, once he landed the BOA gig.)
That was a great bass……a modded, neck-through ‘71-72 4000.
A few years back I posted a pic of my lefty Interceptor here and I remember someone had mentioned using a lefty Interceptor neck on a righty body.
Till this day I've only seen 3 lefty Interceptors. 2 here and one in Ireland. I wonder how many lefties where made!

Happy NBD to me. 1988 El-Toro arrived in mint condition. I've wanted one for so long.
What’s the difference between tone profile of the El Toro vs L2000? Similar, very different?
IME, El Toro it's closer to a jazz bass tonally than the L-2000. It's not just the visuals, it sounds more like a jazz bass (on steroids, sure). That's why I'm playing it in my Zeppelin band. Fits sonically, and it's like jazz bass with big balls.
The Toro slams pretty hard, that's for sure. I think the notes have a bit more authority than my L-2000. And that's really saying something 'cos a 2K with K-mod is a beast. Both these G&L's are kinda special to me. The custom color on the Toro makes me love it even more (man it plays nice!) Might as well post some pics...
