Not sure if there's a spot to share new original music, but here's my recording debut on bass.
Recorded line into DAW interface on an unmodded 2020 G&L JB, neck full, bridge half, tone 50%, a little post recording compression, and that's it.
Mods, if this is not the right place to share this, delete it, move it, or lemme know where it oughta be.

G&L customer service and QC absolutely blows huge donkey balls. After my last ordeal with a custom build I will never buy anything that isn't Leo era again; certainly nothing brand new. Considering you can still find 80's model basses for equal and sometimes less than new option/custom builds it makes sense to get those and save the headache of dealing with a bunch of donkey baggers.

So this thing showed up last Thursday. Switched strings to DR Black Beauties and gigged it last weekend.
I've played L2500's in the past, but have never owned or gigged one. To say I was seriously impressed would be an understatement. I can say with absolute certainty that this bass will see a lot of live use….

I will 100% agree with this assessment with my L2000. I own several great basses and have owned even more in the past but my L2k just does everything I need and is so comfy to play. Cuts through like a monster all the time. Endless possibility of tones too.

So much to drool over there - the fretboard, the blocks, the binding, the top, the finish, the matching headstock ... oh yeah, and it's an L-2500!
An LB-100 I picked up 18 years ago and to me is perfect in every way.
If I was only allowed 1 this would be it.
From memory it's a 1994.
Same set of of La Bella DT Flats on it now for over 16 years.
Sits in the mix like no other.
She's even a 8lb light weight with no neck dive.
One day I will take some better pictures to share as this photo was taken 18 years ago.

I have an MIJ Tookay from 2002, just before they moved operations over to Korea (and before Indonesia). It is louder, more beastly, and better built than any of my American made G&Ls.
When you get your second G&L, does that give you your fan badge?
My primary is the '96 red metalflake L-2000 I bought here earlier this year. Love it. This morning I fell prey to temptation and bought a used-mint red Fallout Tribute on Reverb. I'm planning to swap it out for the Yamaha BB234 that I keep in the instrument closet at church for practice. I'm hoping that I like the Fallout enough that I won't need to tote the L-2000 back and forth for playing services.

Bingo.....Dave McClaren seems to more interested in entertaining us with his "Leo Lore" and other one off projects than he does in serving any other purpose yet he's listed as the COB for G&L so the buck stops with him. Personally I think the guy is a real doofus.

IMHO, it's beautiful as-is.
G&L's cherryburst over (what I'm assuming is) alder is absolutely killer.
