white with black pearl is mighty fine
white with white/black/white is way too much white for this kid
that's how I seize it.

oh, and once upon a time I owned a white EBMM bass and ordered a orange/brown/white mixed up pick guard that EB called "tiramisu". That was fun.

Pearl White is indeed metallic. Almost went for it for my LB-100, before settling on Alpine White (which is opaque).

I definitely LOVE my LB-100, another practice with it tonight and it slays.

You know what they say, the best Fender P-bass is a G&L!

That Tiramisu looked awesome on your Caprice.

I think anodized gold on white looks killer, especially on a P-bass. Mint on White is an absolute no-go for me, and I have one (bottom right of my avatar)!

The LB 100 sounds most like a P Bass, as it is a P Bass.

G&L's LB-100 is a P-bass. And I'm told the L1000 is P-bass-like, but more versatile. However, I've never owned one of those.

LB-100. I LOVE mine. Killer p-bass tone with all the benefits of G&L USA construction and better yet, G&L's awesome finish options.

"New" because it is a factory clearance instrument due to a finish dent on the back of the body. I have been watching for a fretless G&L 5 since I sold my fretless Tobias Growler back in 2019. Loved the Growler, but it was a 4 string.

Fretless Kiloton 5 is da bomb!

not at this time.
only the Lx000/Mx000/JB/kiloton (also tribute of same ) series come as a 5 string in current production.

Closest G&L made is going to be the L1000 in 5 string form or the L5000. 5 string L1000 just restarted production (L1000 series 750). L5000 has been out of production since the early 1990s.

However it's not 100% classic P tone. The tone cap is different so it's a tad brighter sounding than your usual Pbass. You can always roll the tone off a bit. I play with everything dimed on the bass and adjust treble levels on my SansAmp based on where/which amp I play.

So Anyway, Fed Ex delivered my G&L Fallout Bass on Saturday about 10 minutes before I had to leave for my winery gig. Hmmm... should I bring it along or leave it home and make sure everything's OK? Can I even get it unpacked in time?!? What the heck, my Rickenbacker was already in the car, so I brought it along.

Played it for the entire afternoon. No problem getting it to sound like me, and it's about 2 pounds lighter than either of my Ric's. It's one of the few short scales that I've played where the neck doesn't feel like a toy. And it's real comfy, and ergonomics are really important to an old guy like me.

Plus the surf-green looks good with my black Kustom Tuck & Roll amp.

I agree with this, with Volume and Tone dimed, this is a bright, in your face P. Killer rock bass with everything at 100% and a pick.
I've found that backing off the volume about 20% with the volume knob on the bass does a good job of getting me a traditional, vintage tone. There's an extra cap in the wiring that I believe assists in this? Or I'm crazy, but that's what my ears tell me when I play it.

My new LB-100! Lake Placid Blue with matching headstock. Love it so far! Only issue is G&L didn't send me the quartersawn neck like I ordered but a replacement is on its way.

Wow!! That is gorgeous!
I do not understand how/why G&L is making these mistakes on Option Order basses! I'm glad they are making it right, but holy cow, they need to do better for their top tier customers!
