I can't believe they're talking so long with yours, man. We ordered at the same time, I almost feel guilty about getting mine already. Now 9 months waiting for my Build To Order LB-100. Perhaps I've been accidentally upgraded to Custom Shop? In which case, woo-hoo, halfway there![]()
Are you sure they haven't lost your order?
... there has been some progress made ... I get optimistic updates from G&L, but deadlines just come and go.
I unfortunately have zero control in the matter, and the folks involved seem to be understanding of that.
Thanks! My LB100 has crazy grain as well, so I was hoping by ordering the Caribbean rosewood like my LB100, that I would get some nice wood grain. I sure did! I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. That fretboard is amazing!
Here she is!! Ordered late March and arrived on my doorstep today. I can't thank Greg at @RocketMusic enough. He was fantastic to work with, and communicated with me throughout the process.
I love everything about this bass, and would not change a thing. Empress body gets me a total weight of 7.7 lbs. It does neck dive a little, but with a 3" strap, it balances perfectly. It sounds phenomenal as well! I lowered the action just slightly, and it feels right at home.
I ordered with the Tort PG going for the Sean Hurley look, and I think it looks great. I did have a pearl K5 pickguard on hand that I do think looks good too. What do you all think?

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong here but Leo designed the MFD in such away that cutting the volume creates a less aggressive more vintage tonality overall. I found that was basically true with my L2500 and with my Kilo as well and I tend do it that way myself.

Only having had my L2K for a short time, I'm struck by the MFD's versatility. I like a growly, aggressive tone. My JB has that with it's alnico pups, but the L2K has a different kind of growl. I'm really loving it. I'm also loving being able to get so many different tones. Great bass.
