My LB-100 is finished...again. As some may recall especially if you saw the thread I posted, when it came in in November it had a twisted neck. The new neck was finally finished and i got this updated picture on G&L's Facebook page. It will be here Thursday. Fingers crossed that I can officially join the club after that.

To top it off I had some cocobolo knobs made. I'll be making a new thread when it comes in and checks out fine.
So, what's a fair price to ask for a lightly used USA L-2500, blueburst, rosewood fb, no K switch?
A couple of weeks ago I strolled into a local music store to test drive a new EBMM Stingray Classic. My eyes soon locked onto this beauty hanging on the wall. When I read the hang tag I couldn't believe it. The store owner said it was on consignment. The guy selling it is the original owner. No mods. Very low serial number too. She's been gigged but not abused, and has some great checking in the finish. The neck is very comfortable. What a find!

I bought a 2500 off of here. It was red with a natural headstock. RW board. No K switch.
I bought it for $750 off of here. My guess is a bit more because of the burst. G&Ls are worth more than what they go for. You can try above that then budge if you have to. Maybe $850 shipped?
Anybody else please feel free to add opinions before he sells it. That's just what I paid for one.
Disappointing. I was hoping for at least $1100. I was figuring that much to cover part of my new custom build M-2500 that's due in this week.
Shoot for $1000. $750 is pretty low, IMO. Some sell for that, but I've seen plenty go for $1000-1200 in the classifieds. Do a search in the Classifieds and go as far back as you can. That'll give you a good sense of the trend over time.
Maybe with extra-cost options but a standard used G&L just doesn't pull that much money, at least not if you want to sell it reasonably quickly. It's a buyer's market right now.
That's why I asked for other opinions. They don't really sell that well for what they are really worth. I can help so a search when I get home. To see what they are selling for. Like I said, my old one was $750. And that was just a few months ago.
I have a BABP Wunkay w/ a gorgeous maple neck, but I really prefer rosewood fretboards. Does G&L sell replacement necks or are there other options available?
