I got this used about 3 months ago. It's the 30th anniversary collection with matching headstock and the THICKest ebony board i have ever seen. It is made so well, i feel like i can trust this bass everynight and it will do the job. (I still don't understand why it doesn't have a tone pot 
. Thinking about that Stellartone Tonestyler in the future)
The sound is very "rich" in my opinion. The neck pickup is so punchy and fat with that hollow grind, i use the back pickup to tame it a little.
It looks beautiful. I have the black straplocks and i think it adds up to the striking looks of this bass.
I also have a Butterscotch/Maple L-2000

Hey folks - apologies if this is the wrong thread to ask but gas anyone ever used G&L L2000 pickups and preamp in any sort of custom build?

I would really like to see some variation from G&L on the Tribute SB-2. They really need offer an ash body and a 6 bolt neck like the rest of the Tribute line up. The basswood and 4 bolt plate is played out.
Selling the lakland skyline p and the gibson flying v in order to pay my property taxes and keep the sb-2 and l2k, can't sell the hot rodded vintage jazz, because i'm sick of people offering me 100 bucks for it, because it's an 84 a series squier
I had the 30th anniversary G&L 2000 it was nice bass. I like Music Man basses a little better they Both have HH pup
I have a Candy Apple Red LB-100 on the way. My Emerald Blue Metallic SB-2 will be up on the block as soon as it arrives (probably for a stupid price since I'm in a hurry). I think I prefer the Alnico pickup to the MFD.
Let me know. No promises that I'll have the cash, but if I do I am very interested.
You're getting ANOTHER LB-100! That is great to hear, I hope you bond with this one more than the last. Hope to see pics of your SB-2 when its for sale, sounds niffty.
Yup. I really did like my other LB-100, but I was so burnt out from what I went through to get it that I couldn't enjoy it.
