G&L Club Part 7

Are most of you guys that have L-150X's using flats? I'm thinking about trying some on my L-1500 just to see what they sound like.

I've got TI Jazz Flats on my fretless L-1500. They work very well with a nice midrange punch that reduces the somewhat over-bright character of the instrument. I only ever play it in passive mode, though.

I recently put Thomastiks on my Climax. I really enjoy them, but they somehow killed the character I loved in this bass but it sits very nice in the mix.
I have TI's on my L-1000 and Precision, but somehow I learned to love my Climax with rounds.

Also - they are unusable in active treble boost mode. Too harsh. On rounds it was zingy, but still mellow. The percussive attack of flats are not working well with extreme treble boost.
