Beautiful bass, looks to be in excellent condition. For thump, You’re probably better off with an LB or L1K with a rosewood fretboard,tho.

Just order an LB-100 with a 1.5" neck, or search the classifieds. They're out there and will come far closer to what you're after. That SB2 is a fantastic bass, but not what you're looking for.
@Lucky Chuck Wow that bass is nice. If you do series mod like I did on my Lynx, you’ll get the thump and have a more versatile bass than a LB IMO
Got the work done on the "jb21k" yesterday. I'm digging them although my wife was disappointed there wasn't any sparkle in the silver/black paisley, she like the sparkle in the gold sparkle paisley.
pickup in series, vol & tone controls. Someday I'll add a series/single coil/parallel switch. I've also removed the OMG cap from my L1K because I prefer plain series to OMG mode (blasphemy, I know).
To each his own. The OMGis the reason I owned mine.

My G&L L-2500s I have only non Lull I have been using lately. Who knows...Maybe a roasted in the future?
It's a cool tone, and I understand why it's so well liked.
I just prefer regular series.

I just dig the roasted thing lately...I shoot for hours yesterday and it’s amazing how the Roasted stayed in tune. I’m not exactly light handed either. 
Just a cover plate for the bridge pickup cavity I 3D printed and stuck on there.
Might have asked before pulling trigger on 1984 El Toro today. What is the going price on them now,with hard shell case,in good condition?

Hasn't shipped yet but previous owner promised to ship tomorrow,on brown truck. Glad he accepted my offer NBD,I think. El Toro's are getting hard to find in good condition. Actually ordered one back in 1984 trans blue.

Those El Toro's look great. Are they essentially beefy Jazz basses?
