G&L Club Part 7

Hi gang,
Wondering if this odd-looking, old, online find might fill my needs. It claims to be an early-80's SB-2 with J/J MFD pickups. I'm looking for p-bass thump -- flats, finger style, the whole nine yards. Without a split-coil pickup, could this funny-looking, old thing do that for me?

Beautiful bass, looks to be in excellent condition. For thump, You’re probably better off with an LB or L1K with a rosewood fretboard, tho.
-Is it weird that the thumbrest is installed at that angle?

Got the work done on the "jb21k" yesterday. I'm digging them although my wife was disappointed there wasn't any sparkle in the silver/black paisley, she like the sparkle in the gold sparkle paisley.

You have SCM on those?
;) I just dig the roasted thing lately...I shoot for hours yesterday and it’s amazing how the Roasted stayed in tune. I’m not exactly light handed either.

View attachment 4015114 I paid $850 for this one on Reverb a couple of years back, original and correct with OHSC.
