Here's my L2000. I bought this one some years ago from the good folks at Guitar Resurrection in Austin, TX. This one has the jazz style neck, tho I couldn't tell you what radius it is.
This one doesn't have frets on it so it's taken me a while to learn how to play it
. But with the bridge PU only and in single coil mode plugged into my GK amp, it's the closest thing to the magic wand ever built.
A true Fender, Leo was a genius!

Yesh, but it was more an educated choice than a absence since I at one point passed through the capitol of Finland, Helsinki, which does have internet-access for the truly interested.
Congrats! Very nice. I "think" the first two numbers of the serial on the back of the headstock should give you an indication of what year it is.

I ordered it like this because I really liked the look of a similar SB-2 I saw here or over on BABP. Before that I didn't even know this option was available.
