It's a Tribute L2000 with dadarrio chrome flats. such an awesome bass, I had never tried a G&L prior to buying this one so you can imagine how :bassist: i felt to get my hands on a good lefty for a low price. I ended up selling my old mim jazz just for funds to help buy this one. defenitally my pride and joy

I've had my Tribute L-2000 for about two months now but never got around to taking any pictures.

I'm a sucker for black and maple but I hate the fingerprints. I play this bass so much now I feel like its futile trying to keep it clean.

Take a pics with some more light on that thing plz?

Is that an SB1 single coil? If so, you're the only guy I know besides me who plays one out...maybe GGJaguar...

It's "G&L's answer to the 51 Precision," I think.
Plenty of thump, but lots of beautiful single coil/single pickup clarity too...

That pic is from the seller I got it from (with original G&G case); and it had *dead as a doornail" flats on it. It's wearing DA XL 170's now...

there's a thread i just made, uh, http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=475078&goto=newpost right there with some more pictures. i have crap for lighting in my place, and i live in washington and it just started rainy season so outside is just as bright... and my camera sucks :)

that pistachio color is beautiful by the way. so those are single coils? either way, i love the way the pickup sounds. it's got plenty of thump and sparkle. like i've said, it matches the output of the b.c. rich mockingbird bass i've been playing with my band. the g&l has been my backup lately because the guitarist also has a mockingbird so we match on stage, but i really prefer the way the g&l plays and sounds... i use pink package ernie balls, super light gauge strings. most of the damage was there when i picked it up.

originally i was buying the amplifier and cab off of a guy i knew, and used that bass to test it as it was his and available. i got home and plugged in my bass and called the guy later and had to have the bass as well.

r0ck!

This baby came to my door a couple of weeks ago :D

This is my second G&L. I had an '81 L1000 for a while, but sold it for GAS reasons :( The hollow ASAT body isn't the most comfortable thing to play due to lack of a forearm contour, but the tone is SO worth it. :)

I've had this beautiful blonde for about a month now. It's a Tribby L-2000. I added a thumbrest, but I'm gonna replace it soon.

If I take a number do I have to stand in line? What IS my number? Is 2000 taken? :)
