Yes you did and it was a really nice one if I recall correctly. I'm looking for a fretless one however. Either US or Tribute would probably work but a US would be preferred.

If I can't find one used I may have to order a new one. Does anyone have any suggestions on a G&L dealer that would be a good choice? I'd like to work with someone who is really familiar with the options and who will help me get the exact bass that I'm looking for.

I just picked up a Tribute L2000 for 349 GBP in a hidden away music store in Colchester (oldest town in Britain) that sells mainly keyboards. They normally sell for nearer 600GBP on this side of the pond.

I'm really impressed, it's perfectly set up and I like the strings (are they possibly nickels from new - unusual I know). There's no scratchy pots or any issues at all. It's natural with a rosewood board.

One question re the active passive switch, intuitively I'd have guessed that it's passive to the front and treble boost to the rear but G&L indicate differently, is it possible that the Tribbies are reversed?

Oh and a 2nd question, controls cut only? Meaning the natural tone is when they're fully clockwise?

Nice score!

Passive to the back, active middle, active with treble boost front. Tribs are the same.

Controls are cut only

oh oh My trib L2500 is exactly at the opposite .in back position ( to bridge) = treb boost /middle = active only / front (neck) = passive. I beleive that in 2006 (my bass year) the difference between usa and trib was: trib moved from front to back and usa moved from down to up ( down maybe passive)

Ok kids.

My turn.

Here's the ASAT I'd been lusting after for a long time. I'll post more pictures in a bit, but take a look. At first glance, the finish looks weird in this picture, until you realize that the pattern you see is actually THE REFLECTION OF THE TREES IN THE BACKYARD. The finish looks so good that it is actually reflecting like a mirror. Yesssss.....

Sign me up!
