G&L Fallout Bass launch soon?

So, as if by magic, I'm scrolling through Instagram and see glguitars post a demo video of the new Tribute range.

Red - candy apple? - w/ maple neck and white w/ rosewood (assuming that's what they're using on Tributes). Look & sound really good. Potentially saw a surf green and maybe black model behind, but hard to tell in the small Instagram window.

Guess I'll need to put my money where my mouth is, and grab one - or maybe a Mustang PJ. Or maybe sell a couple of basses and get one of each..

Surf green would get my cash. Though that white is a solid second choice. I’ve got a matching Nash PB63.

I've been waiting for the Tribute version of these — couldn't justify the price of the launch edition + I didn't like the competition stripes at all. That Surf Green one looks like a winner to me, definitely doing to be a hard choice deciding whether to get that or one of the SBMM shortscale Stingrays.

Missed the announcement on these. I loved the Fallout guitar (& my '82 SC-1) & it's cool they're doing a semi-direct bass equivalent in shortscale.

With the disclaimer that I haven't handled one, I think I would have zero issues w/ paying $1600 for a US made premium finish version of one of these based on the quality of other recent production US G&Ls I'm well familiar w/. I usually feel I'm getting a 2:1 - 1.5:1 level of return on quality/utlitarian value new vs. a Fender of the same motif & country of origin w/ them. Just my .02 on it though...
