Post-nuclear apocalyptic role-play computer games where you as the player survive by shooting everything that moves. I find playing after a tough day at work to be very therapeutic.

I've been waiting forever for G&L to get into the short or medium scale bass game. I've always loved the Fallout body shape. My only fear is the thing will weigh 20 pounds, as G&Ls are wont to do.

This one weighs 7.3 lbs...swamp ash, too.
Only thing heavy about it is the tone.

I'm not sure how they managed 7.3 pounds with a dual MFD pickup, full scale neck, swamp ash body and their boat anchor of a bridge. You sure your scale isn't set to kilograms?
Also, I wish TalkBass would upgrade to a newer forum software version that combines all one's consecutive posts into a single.

So since I'm chomping at the bit to get one of these in a Tribute model, I've been in Google everyday mode. Here's a description and some specs on the Deluxe models. No mention of a Tribute model though...

I wonder if at some point you’ll be able to spec your own colors in a USA model. I sure hope so. I’d much prefer one of these to a Mustang.
So perhaps the one at the show was more of a prototype neck than we thought. Not only will the headstock be painted, but it may be first gen. shape like the others in the CLF Research line. I like that. What is Miami Blue? I'm imagining something close to Daphne Blue.

I don't think the new ones weigh as much as they used to. I had an L1000 back in 1980 when we never even thought about how much a bass weighed but the new CLF L1000 I got a few months ago only weighs in a 8. pounds 2 ounces. Given that the Fallout body and neck are all slightly smaller, I wouldn't be surprised to see sub 8 pound weights on some of these basses.
I've still got such a thirst for this bass. Anyone got some more info on a release date and rollout?
