G&L Ideas

The folks at G&L are not good at marketing, email, or designing websites. But they do make a nice bass.

+1 to that. I was trying to record the cherryburst L2K this morning, and it was giving me some very nice tones. I was loving it through the amp.

Only trouble is I couldn't find exactly where in the signal chain distortion was being introduced before it went to tape/disk. Teachers and students started showing up for lessons (which means the "studio" shuts down) before I could troubleshoot, so that'll be tomorow's fun.

Soooo... I figure why not see what you guys would want ordered? Feel free to get super specific if you like - model, color, fretboard & any options...

Have fun! :hyper:

Hmmm . . .

L2K
- spanish copper metallic finish with matching headstock
- #8 neck with rosewood board and no fretboard dots
- K switching

SB1
- spanish copper metallic w/MHS
- #8 neck with rosewood board
- tortoise pickguard

Either of those would have me looking at my gear trying to figure out if I could sell enough to afford them :D

Looks like G&L just updated their website and there are some new options available like

VINTAGE FRETS !!!!

and it looks like Ebony boards are back (fretted).

and one new color . . . Margarita Metallic!!

Woah, thats one heck of a combo just laid out, Margarita Metallic, matching headstock, ebony board.... a 1500/1505 in that setup would be pretty dang GAS inducing, espcially if G&L would do black hardware....

I would like a #5 BABP in blond, maple neck no fret markers
What would the cost be and how long to delivery?
Thanks

I'm guessing the BABP is a set of specs someone described on the Bad Ass Bass Players forum? If you'll enlighten me (send me a link, or just quote the specs), I'd be happy to quote ya!

Thanks!
Greg

Speaking of Tributes a few posts back... I've got several left in stock that I'm going to treat like my remaining Warwicks. Blow 'em out to find them a home, and put whatever meager proceeds into "the next big thing". :D

Here's what I've got left:
TRIBUTES-LEFT.jpg

1 x Tribute L2K Nat/RW
1 x Tribute L2K Nat/MP
1 x Tribute L2K Nat/RW Lefty

I'm asking $475 shipped for each of these. And as with the Warwicks: I'm losing $$ at these prices, so I'm not interested in trades or haggling. Thanks in advance for your interest!

Looks like the Tribby L2K Nat/MP is going to stay close to home. Thanks, Dave!

I've still got the other two Tribbys left. $475 shipped for each of them, anywhere in the US!

I still love my L-2500, use it every day... can someone explain what the K-wiring option is (please excuse my vast reservoir of ignorance) and how to know if I currently have it?

Also, Greg, one day I will definitely coming back in to pick up a JB-2 so I'm glad to see that you can order them so easily :)

I asked that earlier. Instead of Series-Parallel, the middle switch will do series-parallel-single coil.
