G&L L1000 questions

Was looking at a really nice used cherry burst G&L L 1000....
I thought the L1000's had only one humbucker PU....

This one I was looking at has two humbuckers.
Much like the musicman HH style and placement on the body.

Any chance this is original and factory installed?
Or is it for sure something that was added by one of the owners aftermarket?

Messaged the store but have gotten no reply yet....
Though some of the G&L guys on here might know the real deal.

Thanks for the info.:D

Thanks for the reply.
Yeah that's what i thought...
That maybe it was a typo?
I was pretty sure all L1000's had only one PU.
But I am new to the G&L Brand,so i wanted to see if maybe they made a 2 PU model near the end of the L1000 run before switching over to the L2000?
I questioned the store, waiting for a reply.
Looks like a nice bass...good price I thought.
Time will tell...thanks again!

Assuming it's not listed wrong, it's either an L-2000 with an L-1000 neck, or an L-1000 with an added pickup. G&L never made an L-1000 with 2 pickups.

The easiest way to tell what it is is to look at the control plate, which was different on the two models.

Hey thanks...I looked at the pic again...it does not have any control plate.
It has three knobs and three mini switches. Two humbuckers. and is listed as a "G&L L 1000".......
Now I am really curious about this bass....hahaha!!
I will for sure be on it tomorrow. Will call the place and ask to talk with the mgr. and see whats the deal.
Will post what I find out.
Thanks again!

The votes are in from the panel of experts....
a GL2000 it is...
I will notify the store and find out a bit more about it....
Looks like a beauty....nice color....
Wish me luck, and thanks for everyone's input and advice!

That headstock was used on some NAMM basses.
One could custom order it.
The board looks ebony from here, but, that's not the best pic.
Definitely an L2000.

Nice bass.

Thanks for the input!
Have not had time to call the store...Was busy picking up my new fretless G&L SB-2 Ebony fretless from a fellow TB'er locally.
My first G&L....My first fretless.... Stunning bass!
Psyched to get to know this brand and dive into some fretless thumping.
