They have not yet announced one. NAMM starts soon, so there might be an announcement yet...
Based on the monthly statement that I just received from G&L, it appears that 2 of the 5 SB-2T's have shipped to me. I don't know which two have shipped, but that mystery will clear itself up within a couple/few days when either the invoices or the basses themselves arrive.

Strike 1 this morning... a G&L arrived, but it's an LB-100 unrelated to this special run. There's still one more mystery G&L that should arrive, and that one will certainly be an SB-2T. Hopefully I'll know more tomorrow...
OK - the first SB-2T has arrived! It's Vintage White with a cream pickguard and wood binding. Slurp. I'll get pictures taken and posted later today. This one is for Pete up in Canada (by way of Maine).
In the meantime, it appears that G&L has shipped 2 more of the SB-2T's. Once again, I unfortunately won't know which ones they are until they arrive. So another 2-3 days of suspense, sorry!!

5 were ordered right before New Years, and 3 have shipped so far.
Today's SB-2T weighs 8.5 lbs, and the LB-100 weighs 9.1 lbs. I requested "lightweight" when I ordered both of those basses, and I'd say that qualifies.
All 5 of the SB-2T's were ordered with the lightweight request... we'll see how well G&L does paying attention to that. My fingers are crossed!

Yep, they all went in with the "lightweight" request. I generally order all my G&L's like that, but I did try to ask everyone about that. Sorry if I missed ya, but I'm glad it's what you'd want. (I've yet to have anyone say "let's go for a heavy one" - LOL).
it's all good Greg. I already knew I'd be getting a cool bass for a great price. lightweight is just icing on the cake.
What's the difference between "lightweight" and "regular" models ?
I didn't find any mention of that on G&L's website.
How do they manage to do that ? Chambering ? Or using lighter wood (if I'm not wrong, default is alder, or swamp ash for transparent finishes).

IIRC, they just use whatever body blanks are on hand. with the ligthwieght request, they sepcifically seek out a lighter weight body blank.
