Hi all, I installed a set of Labella 760FL flatwounds 43-104 on my Fender Vintera II Road Worn 60s P bass and in order to intonate it correctly, the G string saddle is much further back than usual. Usually my G string saddles are exactly 34" from the nut. The intonation is perfect, , haha, I just don't like the way it looks, and was wondering if I did something wrong. I did loosen the string and reset it on the saddle and nut and the saddle length is still the same. I know there are a lot of things that go into intonation, I followed all the steps in order - adjusting the truss rod, the string height and the intonation, checking and double checking along the way. Is this saddle length normal for some? Thanks for any help or advice.
