Galien Krueger Backline 600 Questions....

Hello,

Newbie here, a 60 year old newbie.

There's a Galien Krueger Backline 600 Bass Head available locally that's pretty much in new condition, even has the original box. Owner used it a few times and then gave up bass.

I did a search on TB but really found nothing. I know other model of GK are highly regarded and I'm just looking for some guidance as to if it would be a good head for a beginner.

Asking $150, I couldn't even find the old list price anywhere.

I had an 1001RB, and a Backline 600. I wound up using the Backline all the time, and selling the RB. It's loud, simple, and IMO voiced better their more expensive heads. It's one of the very few pieces of GK gear I've owned that I've held onto. $150 is a great price. I say buy it. Now.

Had one for a bit. $150's about right, and it's a good first amp head. Got a cab in mind?

Thanks, no cab in mind yet, just thought if it was a good deal I might as well get it, then look for a cab.

I had one for a while and also 1001rb. Decent amp and price is good. New sold for $300.
