This same thing just happened to me with these strings. They were not on longer than five minutes and the windings broke in various places on both. Emailed Mimmo - no response.Here's pictures of the issues I had with the metal G Red Springs. It unraveled at the bridge and nut and broke on one of the attempts. The same happened with the D.
The unraveling started before I was even close to standard pitch. I was at least 2 whole steps flat when I noticed the unraveling starting. This bass has a 40.5inch string length, so string tension should not have been an issue.
One thing noted on the instructions that I was not able to 100% follow, was not having ANY of the wrap go around the tuning peg, only the silk. On some of the strings, that is not possible, as the string requires more winding around the tuning peg than there is silk.
