Also, when I first got it, a preamp tube broke in transit, so I just replaced the stock tubes (can't recall what they were) with a trio of JJs in the preamp. Plug and play and sounds awesome.

Pretty cheap upgrade that may really help. I never played the stock tubes, so i can't say if they were good or bad. All i know is the JJs I put in there sound great and it does look really cool with their location when they glow through the grill.

We use JJs for all our tubes.

Upon closer inspection there is no input cord! Yet the cabinet has a mic in front of it! Just what is Tom trying to pull here?? Haha.

Can't see if he has more than one amp and slaving the second (or more) on the back of the amp head with the effects loops. The fusion 550 will only run one NEO412 (or two 212/410/115) cabs.

Hmm. Can you use the fx loop then as a "power amp in" bypassing the preamp? That might be kinda cool sometimes.

Yes you can. Effects send= Preamp out and Effects return= power amp in (bypasses the preamp signal).

I bought my GK 550 Fusion and 2 x 212 Neo cabs about 5 years ago. I used it twice, then stopped playing larger venues. The set- up has sat dormant since then (including through a 1,000 mile move). I recently had occasion to use it again, in an outdoor venue, and after 5 years of slumber in a semi- heated garage, I fully expected the pots to be dirty and the servo motors to bounce around, or worse. Instead, it fired right up and was rock solid through the entire gig — like brand new. I am totally impressed.
