Gallien-Krueger MB2-500: Part II

brian, i'm bad with time (and too lazy to look back through the thread), but should the carry bags for these be coming out in the next month? i remember you said 6 weeks, but can't remember when that was. and two questions concerning them. you have an estimated cost (street)? and is there a possible sketch showing what they'll look like and how they'll be set up?

So I dont have time to read through the entire thread, but I've noticed A00,A01, and A02/3. SO basscialy all I've gathered is that the 01 they turned down the bass a bit and added more mids. And 02/3 is dealing with radio interference. Then I saw A05. Can someone give me a quickrundown on all these so I know what to look for in testing them out?
Thermal cutout issues were dealt with in A03 also (and maybe in A04), and there were some rogue A04's released which should have been A03's, so it all gets very confusing.
Not all units from the various runs exhibited all issues, so you *might* get an early one that's OK for you. I was unfortunate and had every issue and every rev - all swapped out in record time by the team at GK. But ultimately reliability is key for me, and after having two thermal cutout episodes on gigs, and without backup the first time, I had to call it a day. From what I see here - the A05 seems to have all the known issues fixed, plus has the ability to remove the feet without taking the case apart.

Makes one wonder how many engineering phases are needed for two pieces of metal though...
Any idea on cost?

All apologies, I'm in a silly mood today
I just picked up an MB2-500 this week with an A05 in the serial number and the first time I plugged my Modulus Q5 into it I could hear a local radio station in the background (depending on which way I turned I could hear it louder/clearer or not at all). I thought the radio interference was fixed in previous versions? I did gig it this week and didn't notice it in a bar gig setting, but this does concern me.
*edit* - for reference my signal chain when hearing radio interference was Modulus Q5 w/sadowsky humbucks-sadowsky pre, monster bass cable into MB2-500, out with a CBI 3ft speaker cable (1/4 to 1/4, not speakon), into Trace Elliot 210 cab. Amp plugged into standard power strip.

Usually if YOU changing positions changes the unwanted "reception" the fault is usually in the cable or instrument. Changing the amps position would be the amps fault? Just IME. Monster (waste of money) name cables is no guarante of a good cable or that it won't fail with use.

Our products carry CSA, UL, and 13 other country safety certificates. Every modification has to be blessed by these agencies; the rack ear is no exception. These are die cast parts that match the front panel and have captive fasteners that are required for safety approval.
Seriously? If you don't know what you're talking about it's probably best to just not say anything. What your speaking of isn't an 'opinion' issue it's either right or wrong.
I've found that to be true in some cases; it's best to eliminate the little things first and work your way through the chain. Some iron core chokes from Radio Shack may help, too (previous experience).
