The only problem with waterbeds are traction. It always ends up in a kind of half-nelson, hair-pulling kind of thing. I dig it, but the chick maybe not so much.

I prefer the PS3. You don't have to pay for network playability like you do with Microsoft's XBOX 360, you also have to play for a wireless remote for the 360 should you want to use wireless controlers, where as wireless controller functioning comes free with the PS3. One huge advantage for me for the PS3 is that you can play your PS2 games on it. You cannot do that with the 360.
Quality control tests according to my friend Bryan, he's a real gaming geek and reads up about these things a lot also said the PS3 is more durable than the 360 is, so the shelf life on them is longer.
On the downside to the PS3 I do find the graphics of the 360 to be just a little bit better than its competition.
I do not like the Wii because its a little too interactive for my liking. Not to mention most of the games for it are quite childish.
Finally, if you do decide to go with the Xbox 360 do not get the $200 one. It does not have the internal hard drive to it. So you'll need to buy memory cards to save game progress and you wont be able to do online play, download demos, or full version games.

All Xbox 360s come with wireless controller(s), mine did.
All 360s have, (or capability to install) an external hard drive. I own the $200 Xbox 360 Arcade package. I was able to upgrade to a used 20 GB hard drive for around $40. Probably will upgrade to a 120 GB HD soon. Since you can install games on the hard drive now. The 120 GB HDs can be found for under $100 used, or refurbed.
So then, I ask you in confidence...
do you think Sylar killed Elle at the end of the last episode? Or will she somehow survive, like with Elle pleading or for some reason Sylar changes his mind? The only one who knows where they are is Hiro, or will some other hero coincidentally be around to save them?

I bought season 2 on dvd and watched the whole thing in 2 days.
If you really like FPS go for the wii, they have a new peripheral that fits the wiimote into something that looks like a 9MM. Great for House of the Dead and Resident Evil. Also a lot of you bassists will be kicking yourselves for not getting a wii in time for the game Mushroom Men, not only is the entire game set in a metronomic universe (120 BPM) the musical scores are done by a dude by the name of Les Claypool.
If you like racing, get Mario Kart Racing with the wheel.
There is quite a few good games coming out for wii, Madworld (I saw the preview of the guy stabbing the other guy in the head with a Caution sign and i giggled) Dangerous Creatures (Billy Bob Thornton and Dennis Hopper do the voices), Dead Rising: Chop till you drop, and in june the Ghostbusters game is coming out (Dan Akroyd and Harold Ramis wrote the script and Bill Murray is reprising his role in the series. The new game preview is great, great camera angles, great voiceovers.

My PS3 has been good to me!
I've connected my laptop to it via wireless and streamed movies from it to the ps3. Sweet stuff!
PS3 now has a pretty strong game base so I would say it's on par with the Xbox360 (well sans Halo..).
Wii is more of a party console, also fun for kids.

Personally I think she's toast, there's no way Sylar could be hittin' Veronica Mars...
I think they just wanted to show that some of the character flaws come with the powers... just ask Nathan Petrelli...

Not true, I taught my girlfriend how to play games on my 360. She particularly loves Geometry Wars.
I'd recommend the 360, because it's just far and wide the best. Videogaming is my biggest and longest passion, even more so than playing bass. Because of that, I accept nothing but the best. My 360 gets all the attention, my Wii just sits gathering dust now (especially since the real games stopped coming out for it).

Not interested in the rockband, or guitar hero kind of games. I wanna punch/kick, shoot or drive something, that's about it. Fatalities rock more than rock band.

Try Call of Duty 4 and Call of Duty World at War for xbox360 then. Both awesome games.

If you're looking for online gaming (or just gaming fullstop) the Xbox is the way forward. Xbox Live is a superb service. Reliable and user friendly, I love it! The PS3 is scuppered by lacking the strong games catalogue, multiplayer gaming and online services that the 360 has. Whatever type of gamer you are - hardcore, family, casual, novice, the 360 is the machine that caters to your needs.
