I've just been starting to mess around with Garage band, and I've recorded a few songs that sound ok, but they seem like they're missing something. I was wondering if anyone could explain to me the "standards" as far as choosing what instruments get mixed on which side (left or right). And also, what the difference between recording in a stereo or mono channel is.
