Gary Moore R.I.P.

"Mr Moore was originally drafted into Thin Lizzy by its singer Phil Lynott." (my emphasis).

Ugh. What terrible usage of the language. I know it's trendy to refer to bands, companies and other organisations as singular rather than plural, but it just sounds uncouth and even insensitive in this context. No doubt the copy was written by some young hack who is better at following the style book than thinking about the subtle nuances of the language.

Heaven preserve us from journalists who think they know how to write.

:( This really sucks... When I was 13, I thought he was the best guitar player in the world...
Still get the shivers when listening to "Parisian Walkways". Very sad... R.I.P

I did a gig with Eric Bell and we had a good comparison of how Blue Bossa has the same chord structure..

Fascinating how jazz influences even bluesmen and vice versa..
Hmm... Was that still got the blues instead? Ahh, i'm getting old..

I hate what he did these last 15 years, uninspired blues rock pop.
On the other hand, I absolutely loved his 70s-80s era, progressive then hair metal.

Death in Hotel room is typically either heart attack, strange sex games or overdose.
Since they don't say a word about what happened, it's probably not the former proposition.
