Freakin' awesome! Thanks for sharing this....I love it. Just wow - Bob Malach and good ol' Tom Brechtlein as well....too cool for school. Gary Willis sounds great!

I was surprised to see that bass - I remember his fretless Tobias (I think it had an alder body, and was lighter) but not that fretted.

+1. I wonder what made him switch to fretless fulltime? And yeah, he looks different without the trademark baseball cap! Looks like he was using ramps back then as well.

I would have had no clue that was Willis! Great clip. I really dig Robben Ford's whole deal, and he always has killer bands.
Check Robben's new live album - it's a killer - and Trevor Carlton plays wonderful and his tone is HUGE!
I have a thread up on that disc in the 'recordings' section. +1 Very nice! Trevor (edit: Travis!) nails the classic Sadowsky J tone. I dig it.
Ahem... Sorry to be picky but I think you'll find that it's Travis Carlton, not Trevor. Here's a video clip on Amazon (on the right hand side of the screen) with Travis and Toss Panos on drums to make up for me being anal.

Willis is great here.. but you can also see he became even more of a monster player twenty years later...
I think Willis must have really shedded alot between 88 and 95 because I have never heard a Willis blow that was underwhelming, other than that one. It's "there" but it doesn't really rip your face off like everything I've heard Gary do since 95. Weird that he's 31 in that clip, he looks younger. (and skinny!!)
