Bass gear is generally OK, I leave it alone.

But to me, the company graphics on the fronts of keyboards gets to be a bit much.

It's like driving a "Le Car" in the 70's. People don't need to see all that.

Just put your company logo on there and leave it at that. It's not the Soviet space program.

I cover some of that stuff up with black gaffer tape.

Sometimes, I just do a partial cover up, so that YAMAHA reads MAHA.

That's when I find out how many Three Stooges fans are in the house.

I didn't remove the Fender logo from my Neo Pro 115 grill....but I did order some vintage style Ampeg grill cloth from Fliptops and made a second grill cover to pop on when I take my 70's V4B out.

I just couldn't get past a vintage Ampeg sitting on top of a shiny, new Fender cab. I just looked weird.... and fender seems to be doing just fine with or without my advertising.

Now I just need 50 years of cigarette smoke and spilled beer to match the cloth on my V4B faceplate?!?!

I think the closest I ever came to this was when my kid put a sticker on my Bass Big Muff pedal so that it read "Big Mu"

It's since fallen off, but for a while it gave me a chuckle.

I think I'd only obscure a company logo if the company or its owners did something truly odious. But I've got nothing else to say on that matter without veering into politics, so I'll leave it there.

Not on purpose... I do get a kick out of Toyota trucks the owner has modded to "TOY" or, once, "TONKA", which really tickled me.

I saw an old beat up Dodge van that had the logo letters on the front adjusted to spell DOG. Not quite as cool as the unknown brand of van some local guy converted into a giant stuffed toy. It had sculpted hind and front legs in a laying posture with long floppy ears and a snout fitted to the front, all covered in a light brown shag that had been trimmed to look like a short haired dog. Looked kinda like this, but more doglike, as in rounded rather than just carpet glued on the sides of a cargo van, and a more realistic looking snout. :smug:

Yes, I have more than once. And I remember Ministry playing through some ‘Marsha’ cabs a time or two.

I cover some of that stuff up with black gaffer tape.

A friend of mine runs a local back line business. A crew at a recent show did this to his amps. Spot the Brady Bunch Reference Steelheart’s crew did!

The best part of this is how perfectly the v4b fits on top! I grew weary of my v4B overhanging everything I set it atop.

I did remove a Fender badge from my old jazz after I bought it. Does that count?
