I have WD-40 but would prefer to have a Geddy Lee Jazz instead. And, thanks, by the way, I had forgotten how much I need a GL Jazz.

Congrats on your Geddy! MIM, MIJ, CIJ, MIA - they are all awesome basses. My CIJ is definitely my main player and the only bass I can safely say I'll never sell!

Fixed!

I was using the wrong size Allen wrench (go figure). I found the proper one and it all worked out well.

The action is still wonky but I'll let the current setup sit overnight and see if the wood's changed in any way

What size allen key did you use to get the knobs off?
