Woo hoo! Finally I achieved bass zen for myself!

Only issue is that the knobs are screwed in tight and my Allen wrench isn't getting any traction. I tossed my only can of WD-40 away when we moved a few years ago. Any suggestions??

Very nice score! You could try a piece of paper over the allen or if you have screw drivers from a glasses repair kit, could also try a little up/down pressure on knob while trying to unscrew allen bolt. Good luck. Again, really nice bass!

Fixed!

I was using the wrong size Allen wrench (go figure). I found the proper one and it all worked out well.

The action is still wonky but I'll let the current setup sit overnight and see if the wood's changed in any way

I like the WD40 "pen" to keep in my studio; makes it easy to put a small amount onto a component or on the tip of a cotton swab.

Hard to see, but if that's the new style bridge, it's a recent Made in Mexico model.
The Japanese basses had Leo Quan BadAss bridges.

There are better alternatives out there.

Do what the pros do, get a tiny bottle of 3 in 1 and use an actual lubricant. (There are others too, that’s just my favorite)

I have a 2004 MIJ Geddy Lee Jazz. It's supplanted all my other basses and now my main player.
I love the neck! I may get mine PLEK'd as I can't get the action down as far as I'd like and I think a quality fret leveling/PLEK would help with that. Either way, the neck and the "bit 'o grind" of the pickups make this an excellent player. When gigging I'd frequently get compliments on my tone.
The only mod I did to mine was change out the tuners for HipShot Ultralites. Overall weight dropped by 0.9 lbs and now beautifully balanced (No neck dive):
