Geddy jazz bass????

So I heard that there is a difference between the older geddy lee basses and the new one.. Does anyone know what the difference is???

I believe at some point they upgraded the tuners, which were a little sketchy originally.

Used to be actual block inlays on the neck. Now it is merely paint.

Pickups, tuners have been upgraded. Neck is a little thicker now than it used to be, which is a good thing. Much more stable. And yes, the sunburst.

Not much, just a little bit. It's still thinner than a standard jazz.

I've got an older Geddy, and was looking at a newer one at GC last week. The magnets in my pickups are domed and the newer one's were flush with the pickup cover. In terms of neck warping, I've had no issues with mine. I didn't notice any huge difference in size on the newer neck either. The tonal characteristics were very similar to my bass too. Didn't really pay attention to the tuners, but once again, no issues on mine.
