Geddy Lee or American Standard Jazz?

What I failed to mention was I got my Geddy for $600 bucks new and my MIA jazz for $750 NOS. Geddy's are close to $900 now and the MIA bass around $1100. The options that could be had as far as colors and necks on the MIA basses would be the deal maker for me! People raved about the Marcus miller bass when it was $789 and the Geddy bass when it was $600 but it remains to be seen if the same enthusiasm with these two basses with their steep price increases! The MM bass is $1000+ while the Geddy is close to $900.

I don't like having to loosen the strings and unbolt the neck to adjust the truss rod.

That's a deal killer for me. Too much trouble to do routine maintenance. For $50 I had the Twelth Fret in Toronto route a nice access hole in my pickguard and body for my MIJ Fretless Jazz. They did a nice job. Looks factory, and now I can adjust the neck with a tweak of the screwdriver. No disassembly required.
