I recently took off the pickguard on my Geddy Lee sig and I really like the looks of it that way. Anyone else done this? I'll put a pic up tomorrow.

my bass instructor did that to his. he said hes gonna have the neck sanded down as well, he said something about mini soapbars, and a hipshot. I would love a geddy at the right price.
Geddy's are cheap (for some reason): Look on Ebay - - I've seen them as low as $400.
Or, you could do this.

very nice j. but a black badass, singleply guard, black screws and jack would really set it off.....thats my plan anyway.

Now see, I don't think that works very well. You have black knobs and a black control plate with black screws but your bridge is chrome, output jack is chrome and your pickguard is B/W/B with chrome screws. I say go all black, get a pure black pickguard with black screws, black output jack and a black bridge or don't do it at all. Sorry, just my opinion.

I have a few things to buy to finish the stealth look, but that will come in time.
