Geddy Lee's Isolated bass on limelight

The bass sound on "Permanent Waves" and "Moving Pictures" is my most favorite for hard rock. Hearing it isolated is totally cool.
Not to be too picky, but the raw recorded bass sound only gets about ⅔ there. Post recording processing processing really adds the grit and drive and makes the bass stand out so clearly without interfering with guitar and drums.

His tone is just incredible. So aggressive and direct yet it just sits perfectly in the mix. The level of soundcraft on those albums was amazing.
I'm going to argue from a technical standpoint. I got curious and grabbed my 4003, while not naive that things vary instrument to instrument, I ran it clean, straight up. In vintage "4001" mode. On the first open E Geddy plays at the start of the guitar solo, the eq graph almost lays down identically from 20hz to 270hz to my 4003 except for Geddy really punched the 50-60hz. Did the same with my jazz and it did not resemble the eq graph like the Rick at all
So many never truly have a firm comprehension of how this works.
