It looks good. That's the right idea with the trim.

I'm torn though, do you think it might want to be longer? i.e. more space between the tuners and the top? Now that the tuners are on it's looking to me like it might have been a mistake to shorten it.

It does seem a tad squatty. I'm waiting to hear from the folks at kissfaq

Iron fingers graciously have me a new template that was just a touch longer. He left the tuners the same distance from each other. I changed his design by moving the A & D tuners closer to the top if the headstock by 3/16". This is the result. I think this is it!

Yeah, I had the EMG idea early on, but I'm glad I'm going with the mudbucker.

I stumbled in here and skimmed most of the the thread. Looking great and glad u went with the mudbucker. That clip sdg had of the beefy single coil sounded sweet and I bet your pup will be even better.

The bass fully updated. I added the pickguard, correct headstock and moved the A and D tuners up 3/16".

Tonight was the night! Time to actually rout something besides MDF.
My template is mounted to my neck.

I taped this shield to my neck. I should've made my template to extend past the nut. No worries, this MacGuyver solution worked.

Fully routed!

I've heard all kinds if theories. I think I'm picking the best option for the 3rd knob.

My guess is push pull for series/parallel option. Sounds like the most likely situation i suppose.

how lucky is that got my new bass back from the shop (had some pick up up grades) check out TB and find this thread . not a huge kiss fan but i quite like gene simmons and hey my bass LOOKS LIKE AN AXE !!

I had SGD wire a two position rotary switch for series/parallel.
