Cool, I miss my '74 V-4B head. great choice for Gene tone without taking down the walls. I'm in pretty good shape Ampeg-wise. =)

Which cabs are those?

The whole rig is this - '74 SVT head running a '71 BT-140 2x15 cab (with original JBL D-140 speakers) on the left, and a later 70s tilt-back 8x10 on the right. In the center is a '96 SVT III Pro driving a custom built 2x10 (cast frame Eminence from Ampeg PR410HLF)/1x15 (EVM 15L). I've never gigged with this whole setup, I just happened to set it up in the garage for fun over the weekend. I do occasionally use the SVT, 2x15, and 2x10/1x15. Sounds beautiful!

Question:
I'm thinking of trying my hand at the LoBue with the studs from 76-77.

I'm having a hard time finding a neck that is:
-30" scale
-24 fret
-Heel trus rod adjust

I can find some great necks, but all have trus rod adjust on the headstock.

Would that kill your OCD, or is it not an issue?

Not really an issue, (for me it'd be easier access for fine tweaking), at worse don't use a TRC to hide it, just fill in the cover holes, and once the headstock is ready for paint, it'll be completely black and barely noticeable afterwards.

I have a Danelectro 30" neck, 24 frets, adjust-at-the-heel neck in black. Might be interested in selling or trading it. Let me know if you are interested.

I obtained a new Dynasty era suit with a spikey cod piece. Thus required protection to the back of the bass. First off -great build said:
but I gotta ask.....[/I] how badass is a cod piece that needs, Lysol, corn pads and a smoke detector??? ;)

For this build, I'd like to incorporate active electronics, but to make it look just like the original. Doing some pre planning, I discovered that an EMG 35DC fits perfectly under a mudbucker pickup cover. Intetesting indeed
