Is there one? Should there be one? Is this it? I'll start.

I've had The Plutergegant Chemungenunny up long enough:

Going back to my old standard:

(It's knot what you think. Or maybe it is. ;))

Change the image... I don't know you.
 no kiddin'!

I was starting to feel profoundly dishonest because my former avatar was a pic of me that was at least 15 years old.
i get that! i've updated mine to be in the "honest" group....what a drag  ...and i look different now than my avatar pic from 2021...what to do?! how long does an honest picture last? :wideyed:

 :roflmao:

I'm struggling to understand this, really.

I can sort of get behind updating your name and a thread for it, that makes sense. Usually forums have limits on name changes etc.

But you could literally change your pic every 5 minutes if you wanted to - why would you need a thread for that? Its still the same user. Just a different avatar.

AVATAR.

It could be made up, real, whatever. It's the way you choose to present yourself on a public forum. It's as meaningless as a profile pic on any other app/service etc.

How is this meaningless? This is in fact very meaningful. There was no review by the D.O.A (Department of Avatars), no forms filed, clearance granted, permission given, or the required 3-day notice via the New York Times Classified section of the impending change. The OP has attempted to move straight ahead with solicitation of public comments in violation of several rules. This has completely derailed by plans to spend all day commenting on today's P vs J discussion thread.

What I want to know is "Where's the outrage?". ;)
