Always been going on…

“Kashmir” would have sounded different without the Dano, and all the acoustic tunes on the Yardbirds’ Little Games and the first LZ album were done on a Harmony Sovereign.

David Lindley has always had a Teisco fixation.

I’m surprised that SX hadn’t issued a Laura Lee signature model by now.

Ronnie Lane of the Small Faces rocked a Harmony H22, as well as Muff Winwood of the Spencer Davis Group(“Keep On Running” is one of my favorite bass intros)…

…and brother Stevie was budget-minded as well.

Every time you hear “Sunshine…”, you’re hearing this^

But way before, Jack put up with this^

And it doesn’t get more perfectly down and dirty; a Les Paul just wouldn’t work…

I remember reading the liner notes from the “Seconds Out” live album many years ago and I was surprised at some of the inexpensive guitars Genesis used. They had Alvarez acoustics and Hackett had a Fernandes Strat on the list. I just assumed they just took “expendable” guitars on tour with them.
Steve Hackett has always had a bit of a thing for Japanese guitars. Didn't the Fernandez have the sustainer thing like a built-in ebow (or what was that infinite sustain thing Godley and Creme invented?), and his Burny Les Pauls.

Not going to put a wammy in his 57 LP. Think I read somewhere that Robert Fripp couldn't find a tech that would route and put a Kahler in a vintage LP, so he used a Greco or Burny.

I can't tell if that's Steve Hackett or Robert Fripp in that picture.
