Genz Benz Dealers, are there any?

From reading reviews on this site and others I had made my mind up to buy Genz Benz, probably the Shuttle 6.0 and a 2-12 NEO or two 1-12 NEO's. Every dealer any where near where I live say "I can order it for you". I am in Columbia SC no one here is a dealer. There are dealers within a couple of hours drive from me, but no one seems to stock this gear, some were not familiar with the Shuttle 6.0, some said yes I think I've heard of those. If I am going to just order blindly I might as well roll the dice on the Carvin gear which is much less money but in California.
I have had some great communication with two people at Genz Benz that I appreciate. It bothers me some that I can't find a stocking dealer! Any help?:(

There are plenty of online dealers with great return policies. The Shuttle wouldn't be a problem to ship back but you might be out some money if you don't like the cabinets and have to ship those back.

I haven't seen a lot of locally owned music stores that carry GB.

You can always look for used gear in the classified and go that route. If you decide to sell it you won't be out too much.

Thanks, I have found many online dealers, many of which only carry a portion of the product line, some only few items. Many of the online stores are order only. I have no doubt about the quality of Genz Benz, I just don't understand? I called Sam Ash in Charlotte NC, They had Eden gear in stock along with much more but no GB. He was nice, said he would order it for me. I asked if any of their stores stocked the 2-12 NEOX, he checked for me and said that 4 store had one each in stock? The nearest to me was Miami FL. I'm holding on to see what happens and who else may respond. Genz Benz need to tighten the screws on their so called dealers in my opinion. The guy I spoke with in Charlotte had no knowledge of the Shuttle or NEOX, that's sad. Oh yea and he told me he could not get the GBE-750 which I am also considering? Why not, if he is a dealer, I was told by two employees of GB Friday that this was still a current in production amp. Their dealers are probably costing them a lot of business, once again my opinion.:confused:

Well, you can't(unless you're Gibson) tell a dealer what to order. Only a dollar amount is required to be a dealer. If they don't stock the bass amps you want then tuff. I have the same problem up here in NYC. No one carries the shuttle cabs/amps. There is really not much Genz can do unless they want to change thier dealership policy of which I have no knowledge of. Just guessing thier like most everyone else.

I've found many music store employees to be ignorant of many things. Genz Benz seems not to have the instant recognition of Ashdown or Eden and Gallien Kruger, but I'll take GB hands down over any of them. I bought my first GB from a local store that no longer stocks them. The second came from a jobber who had access to the line, The third came from Musicians Friend. I highly recommend the Shuttle 6.0 with two NEOX 112s. My current setup has one NEOX 112 and one SLT 112, but I wish I'd gone with two NOEXs because the bass response is vastly better from that cab. But I'm very happy with what I have. There was a dealer on Ebay selling NEOX 112s for best offer and I got mine for $150 less than street price.

Yeah, I've been playing genz cabinets for almost 10 years now. I love them and want to buy a shuttle cab. I would also like to listen to the different models they have to figure out what would best suit my needs for a small/lightweight cab. Seems like a challenge without going to NAMM.

With him being in Columbia, SC I think Lincoln would be a little further than Charleston, SC:D:D:D:D

On the real tip. I really dig the idea of Genz Benz too, but I'm in the Same boat here in Ga. No dealers close (Min 150 miles). And I'd like to try an amp out in person before choosing it. IMO amps are a whole lot more variable, due to different cab choices etc.

Since there aren't many music stores in my area that carry higher end bass gear (and I would consider Genz Benz to be higher end) I have had to rely heavily on the reviews of others and specifically those from fellow TB'ers.

With that said I just ordered a Shuttle Max 12 and an Uber 212 a few days ago from an online dealer having never heard either in person. If I decide the new gear isn't right for me then it goes up for sale.

With the new Shuttle Max 6/12 I have noticed quite a few people making the move up from the Shuttle 6 so you should be able to find one used for a pretty good price.

At least Genz Benz is easier to buy than Mesa Boogie. Mesa doesn't have any online dealers (that I've found) and not many retailers either.

All of us don't have the same financial abilities! I don't want to buy something that I might not like and have to turn around and lose money on to sell, I can't afford that. As far Mesa Boogie I can buy them in Columbia. I don't like to buy used. Call me crazy if you choose, but I like to buy any electronic gear new. Once again my opinion.
