Genz Benz Focus FCS-410T

Gain button out - gain and volume a 3 o'clock, bass and mid at 9 o'clock, mid frequency at 600 Hz, and treble at 11 o'clock.
Sounds extreme when you read it and looks extreme on the amp when you dial it in, but because of the way the controls interact, was really a great sound. Didn't lack anything, and had plenty of punch and bottom. Very even sounding and clear in the room.
Edit - must have posted at the same time you did. To keep things on topic - the Focus flawlessly reproduced whatever EQ setting I threw at it. Really is a nice cab.

It's so much fun to experiment with different setting on the STM, isn't it? As I said above, I see the Streamliner/Focus combination as my rig for life. Or for a very long time. A perfect or near-perfect solution for me, a guy unable to transport and unwilling to lift a big Ampeg rig.
Would a Carvin B1500 be a good match for 1, or 2 Focus 410 cabs? I have used 1, sometimes 2 Schroeder 15+L cabinets for a few years now and although they sound quite good (punchy!) they lack low end and sound a bit too agressive for my taste. I really like the thought of 2 410s and for the money, I would like to give the fcs-410t's a try!

I didn't have a chance to post a gig review last weekend after taking my new Streamliner 900 and Focus 410 out for a spin.
Short story - the rig sounded great. My cover band played a pseudo reunion gig at a small/medium sized local bar. I ended using my Bongo with the pseudo SVT settings that were posted in the Streamliner EQ thread. Was punchy and clear, with a little grind when I dug in. I heard it most of the night through my in-ears (which came of the DI out) but the last couple songs I played without the in-ears.
I loved the sound. Sounded good through the in-ears, but sounded amazing in the room. I had PA support, but certainly didn't need it - could have easily carried the room with my rig alone. Most importantly, I never felt like the rig was working hard. The Streamliner was dishing out some serious volume and tone, and the Focus easily handled whatever was thrown at it.
Definitely liking the ceramic speakers. My last couple of rigs have been Neo speakers, but going track to ceramic felt and sounded good. Most importantly, whatever magic the folks over at Genz worked up to keep the weight under control was very appreciated at 3AM when we were packing up. The overall looks, feel and quality are top notch, too.
In short - very happy with my new setup. Didn't get any good gig pictures, but took some pictures at home this afternoon.

Good luck, I'm looking for one myself. I had some late 90's and early 2000 ones that were pretty light but every one I pull off the wall at GC are absolute tanks..... Wish I hadn't sold my 09 fretless 5, it was an amazing bass in the mix.
And now back to your regularly scheduled program....
They're out there. Mine isn't too bad at a little under 10 pounds, but I can definitely feel the difference when I pick up my Bongo, which is right around 9.
The MM sound works great with the Streamliner and Focus 410 - tone all day long!
I love that Black Cherry Burst of yours, looks great.
My fretless 5 was only 8.75.... still don't know what I was thinking selling it.

I'd be curious to hear what the tonal differences are between the 210 and the 115. I just got a Focus 115 earlier this week and really like it. Trying to decide whether to add a second 115 or go with a 210 or 410 Focus on top.

Another clip with the STM-900/Focus 210/Focus 115 rig, from last night: Mostly through the rig, the sound man may have put a little through PA. I think this shows how a P Bass can sit in the mix with this amp and cabs. (Side note: Damn shame the sax player is cut out of the shot.)
What an upright bass sounds like with the Focus 2x10 and a Streamliner 900. Not sure exactly what the sound guy did, but what you hear here is mostly or all the rig.
If you get a chance, I'd also like to know what you think of the 115 and 210 individually.

Anyone here have experience with both an NV610 and this focus 4x10? With the tweet off of course. Seems like they would be in the same family.
