Im still curious how this 4x10 with the horn turned off sound compared to the bergantino nv610, hs210 or even an eden xlt cab.
OK, nobody's going to bite on the nv610 vs the so focus so, with the tweets turned off how does the focus 4x10 compare to the uber 4x10 or even an eden xlt or berg hs410? All with tweets off of course.
I just put in an order for a fcs-410t and would like to know if someone could measure the depth and heigth of the vents for me? I'd like to try moddeling it with winisd to see if I can predict what it sounds like in the low end before actually hearing it. Kind of a fun/geeky game.

Kringle, have you ever had the chance to check out the Sadowsky SA410 or the Berg HS410? I would imagine those would be your best bet for a ported cab with a sealed vibe.
I used to own an hs210 that was ok, but not my favorite. I always thought it felt kind of stiff under my fingers. Light on the bottom end but, not the same as a sealed cab. I wanted to pick one of these up just to have an "off the shelf" cab that was ceramic. I can't say that I ever totally loved any of the neo cabs that I've owned, and there have been many. I pretty much always come back to ceramics and then to sealed ceramics. I liked Ed's video and thought that the cab sounded pretty good. If there was a 6x10 version, thats what I would have ordered. The last production cab that I really liked was the eden xlt 10" loaded cabs but, they are just so damn heavy. I've got one fused disk in my neck and 2 more that have to be fixed so, weight is always an issue. So, for gigging, it's got to be light or at least easily rolled like a cart. If I was in 100% shape and still benching 375+ lbs I would have just been gigging an 8x10 of some kind for the last 10 years and probably wouldn't have spent so much time researching on talkbass. I have had alot of fun with it though.

Hi Kringle - measurements in metric for the vent at the bottom of the in front of the Focus FCS-410T are W 552mm, H 44mm, depth 100mm.
I have a near new Warwick WCA411PRO 8 OHM 4X10+H 600W on the other output channel of a Shuttle Max 12 to the Focus 410 and while the sound of both at the same time so far sounds great a quick A/B seems to me the Focus is more HiFi for sure, it is tighter and has better lows, clearer overall and better highs, the Warwick has heavier or thicker sounding mids, the Focus sounds better in the higher registers up around the 12th fret
Read somewhere here that the WCA411PRO has Eminence speakers and supposedly a similar sound to an Eden 4x10, not sure which one, having never had an Eden can't comment but the WCA was my preferred cab until I got the Focus, the -6db horn position on the Focus sounds best to me, on the Warwick I removed the horn and thought it sounded better without but it is adjustable and after hearing the focus on/off and -6db I'm tempted to try it back in the Warwick just turned down, obviously of real benefit the Focus is the lighter of the two by 8kg or 9kg which doesn't sound like much until your lifting them.
Got the chance to use a 410 and a 210 Saturday night with my iAMP 800. Did a sound check between bands. I thought to myself " These sub's sound great." At the end of night I asked the FOH guy how my signal was to him. He said it was great, but he didn't need it. I was covering the room with my backline. At the price point of these cabs I am very happy with their performance.
I was in the market for a lightweight Neo cab but after seeing Ed's review today and reading all the threads I drove down to Murphy's Music in Irving, TX and pulled the trigger on a 410. Sounded wonderful in the store through an Aguilar amp but got it home and hooked up the 1001rb. Punchy, tight and loud. I really like the no tweeter setting myself. Gigs Fri and Sat this week so I get a chance to make it work.

eeyorebass: FINALLY, this week I will be able to compare the 210 vs. the 115. Set up and ready to go.
Events once again interceded and I wasn't able to do as long and complete a test as possible, but I was able this morning to play separately through each cabinet. Amp was my GB Streamliner 900; bass was Lakland P.
Kinda what I would have expected. Each cab sounds fantastic. The 210 by itself has a little more upper mid range articulation... slightly more hi-fi sounding, but still capable of strong lows. The 115 by itself also has great clarity... is deeper and woolier.
Sorry to trot out this old cliche, but the 210 hits you more in the chest and the 115 in the gut. They complement each other so well.
Would be a very tough choice if I could buy only one. I suppose the 210 because it might be a little more versatile. But couldn't go wrong either way.
Together, they're heaven to me. The honeymoon has not worn off.

I'm not typically a fan of mixing speaker sizes, but it sounds like the 210 plays well with the 15. Might be nice to have a 210 that I could use as a standalone or to mix in the right situation.
As I've said before, I'm surprised there is not more buzz about the Focus cab line.

Thanks, John!... Agreed, there should be enormous buzz. Best-sounding lighter-weight cabs I've played through or owned. And can't beat the price!
I had a Genz 210t shuttle extension cab that i gigged with for over a year. Easily the best sounding, loudest and most versatile 210 i have ever owned. I'll be really interested to hear the 410!
