Which model? Where are you located?

If I know the above information, I can help you sort this out with some easy troubleshooting information.

thanks agedhorse...
the model its shuttle 6.0
i'm located in bruxelles, belgium.
The thing it's that this problem arrives some times, i mean,
it's not always that when i connect the ampli, this crappy sound appears...but after a month, more often...
any thought or question?
thanks
alex

Hi Kspinesh,
In fact, i don't use any effect, so no loop jack...the crappy buzz interference sound comes also with the jack disconected of the ampli...just the ampli...so...

What he means is that sometimes dust bunnies get in the holes and cause some problems. Try taking the 1/4 instrument plug and inserting it in and out of the effects send and return jacks a couples of times and see if that clears up the problem. If it doesn't, I'm sure Agedhorse will be around to help you resolve your problem pretty quickly.

We need to eliminate a few possibilities first.

1. It could be a dirty effects loop return jack normalling switch. This is the part that routes the signal back to the amp when the effects loop is not used. (plug a 1/4" plug intothe return jack a few times to cycle the switch)

2. It could be interference from an RF source, I just resolved a problem that was caused by an I-Phone that was sitting next to the amp (he was using it for playback during practice) and then unplugged it and the noise remained. Turns out the I-Phone was sending an intermittent RF transmit signal that was so strong that it was being picked up by the amp and detected. Airplane mode solved his problem.

3. Be sure that your AC power cord is plugged tight into the back of the amp. A slightly intermittent connection can also cause this symptom.

PM me with the results of your initial tests and we WILL eventually figure this out. It's easier to work through this sort of thing on a PM as I can keep track of the results easier in that format.
