Ok, my turn... About 12 years ago, at NAMM we had introduces the Streamliner and as a 3 tube preamp lightweight it had obviously attracted quite a bit of attention. This was our first real product to have a tailored voicing, a departure from our relatively mildly voiced GBE and Shuttle products. This voicing was a collaborative effort that addressed more of the tube bass amp market. It either worked well for a player or it wasn't their cup of tea, not a lot of in between.
One of my favorite parts of NAMM is meeting with people, that's where I have met some of the TalkBass members that I am still friendly with today. One of these members had a particularly quirky sense of humor, he posted this of Jeff in deep thought, contemplating a new Streamliner product... taking artistic liberties with the situation. It's one of those pictures that still gets a chuckle when I come across it. None of us have ever taken ourselves very seriously, this picture captures it well.
