I’ve got a problem with my streamliner 600, after a while, like half an hour or so, using it it goes silent, like the power been switched off, but all the lights are staying on, after a minute or so it comes back alive, like nothing happened. I think it’s the pre amp cause I plugged a lead into the AUX IN and it made a noise when I touched the tip of the jack plug, so the power amp seems to be working. Could it be just the valves? Any idea? I couldn’t find a proper wiring diagram for it either so my limited knowledge of electronics is even more limited lol

If you are in the USA, ship it to him and it will be as good as new for a low price and quick turnaround.

Agedhorse can provide some troubleshooting advice but it could potentially be a weak preamp tube. He's the best resource for this.

It's POSSIBLE that it's a preamp tube but it could be a lot of other things as well.

Nothing to add, but the Streamliner amps in my personal list of best amps I've ever had, and in fifty years of gigging I've had a bunch.

Note that V1 is a JJ ECC-83, it’s a low noise, low microphonics graded tube. V2 and V3 are Ruby 12AX7-AC5, selected for low microphonics.
Replace the tubes one at a time, the amp must be turned off when replacing a tubes. If the new tube doesn’t solve the problem, put the original tube back in.
Do not mess around with anything else, no service technicians want to fix other people’s attempted repairs, it always costs more.

I don’t need a new amp but it makes me want to buy the new Mesa just for the support

Hi again, I’ve tried with new tubes, they didn’t make a difference. It seems that the fault related to vibration, sometimes I switch the amp on and it doesn’t work at all, a little tapping on it and it makes some buzzing noise, when it clears out it could work for hours if it’s not on the top of the speaker or anyone touching it… if I place it on the top of the speaker it goes into fault much quicker.
