Genz Benz Streamliner, Part 10

Streamliner is KILLER especially though an uber 410... I played the bergantinos etc.. I think the Uber 410 is the best 4 ohm 410 cab that i have ever played. PERIOD.. and it takes 1000 watts and dishes it out..

I've been playing mine thru Mesa cabs - either a PH215, RR115, or PH810, and it swaps back and forth with my M-pulse 600 quite easily - but has a slightly better sounding DI than the Mesa... I'm really curious about some of those Genz cabs - I could see one or two of them in my future...

I used to own a Mesa PH410. Didn't have the Streamliner then but I bet it would have been great together. I still have a Mesa RR115 that I use in my bands practice space but I need to change the connector to a Speakon to use with the Genz. So unfortunately I can't say how they go together.

Why not pick up a Speakon to 1/4" cable. That's what I did to connect a Shuttlemax 12 to my Peavey 410 cab.

Ill tell ya the GENZ protection circuitry works better than i ever expected..
My STL900 has a Speakon to 1/4'. I leave both connected to the amp when i store it in the rack while out on the road. I only used ONE cab the other day.. When i turned the amp on. the Protect light kept flashing on.. Uggh ohhhh.. Turns out the exposed 1/4' cable that was not being used was tucked in the rack and touching the amps chassis and shorting out..
I Disconnected the spare speakon and i was ready to go .. Whewwwwww Well, first hand The GENZ protection circuitry certainly works well.

I switched my RR115 over to speakon only - it's worked out quite well... It makes an extremely potent "combo" when combined with the 900... I just used a step drill to hog out the hole for the original jack, added the two tiny mounting holes, and installed the new speakon - looks like it came that way...

yeah, well, I guess I'll just use mine until the knobs fall off then, and go elsewhere for the replacement, whenever down the road that is.

We've got plenty of knobs in stock, knobs falling off isn't a reason to retire your amp... ;)

@ Agedhorse My ShuttleMax 12.2 has a bad volume pot. I have read through the thread and this seems to be a common problem. I thought it was just dirty but after cleaning, it is getting progressively worse. The other day I went to turn it up and with all the crackling and thought I blew a speaker. It is still under warranty and it is my slow season so off to the shop it goes. The tech was not sure if he could get the new pot. Are they available? Thanks.

What was used cleaning it? The ONLY cleaning material we recommend is Caig DeOxit (either R-5, D-5). Other materials can damage the controls that are used by most manufacturers.

The parts are available, there should be no issues. Where are you located?

Hi, I used Chemtronics Tuner Renu. Sprayed through the front. I'm in South Lake Tahoe and Fleisher's Service is the warranty tech. I hope to get it to him this week. Thank you for the help.
